Step 1 - Contact & Info
Before we meet to talk about your project, we will need some preliminary information from you that will help us get started. To start we will need your contact info, email and phone numbers. Town your looking to build in, Style of house and House size, Plans if you have them, Pre approval from a lender and Budget.
Step 2 - Preconstruction Planning & Meeting
Every project begins with a conversation. Once you have contacted us the next step is to set up a meeting. Please be prepared with any drawings, sketches, example photos or other details you envision. We will also bring our most popular floor plans and drawings we have. At our meeting together we will be happy to review all the small details with you. Explore possible options and answer any questions you have.
Step 3 - Estimate and Review
Following our initial meeting we will provide you with a quote or estimate based on plans you have chosen and our conversation. This will include a brief description of the details going into your new home. This step is only designed to give you a better understanding of how much it will cost to build your chosen plans on the building lot of your choice. If necessary and for a nominal fee Superneau Custom Homes Inc will prepare some basic designs needed to support and clarify the estimate. Once you’ve carefully reviewed the information and have made the choice to move forward we will address any minor changes needed, answer any questions or comments.
Step 4 - Refinement
If you choose us to build your new home, a deposit of 2% – 5% of the total estimated construction cost is required. This deposit allows us to work on more detailed drawings, make major changes to the drawings or totally change the designs entirely if you choose. We will also create elevations of each side of the finalized drawing if needed. As the design is refined to meet your needs and tastes, the scope of work and costs will be adjusted as required.
Step 5 - Activation
Once you’ve approved the design and scope of work, the Building contract will be written. The amount of the contract should not vary from the original estimate unless changes were requested during the design process. The House plans, Building contracts, Specifications list and New home Warranty will be signed by you and Superneau Custom Homes
Inc. – If a lender is involved, they will require a copy of these documents to perform a property appraisal. A copy of your lenders commitment letter must be signed and a copy sent to SCH Inc. along with all signed documents and your deposit before any work is started. Congratulations your new project will officially be underway!
Step 6 - Start Building
Congratulations construction on your new home has begun!
